lost mermaid

this ended up a lot smaller that i thought it would've. now i know what resolution means :l i wish i drew it bigger i'm actually kind of proud of it.

lineart-less hair 8D i swear that was like the best part. along with the fins. but i think i should've made them more transparent :< when i was going to color the tail i was worried i wouldnt get the texture right and after a few failed attemps (lol one of them actually looked like a really cool plaid...that looked really awkward as a fish tail) i got this result

it took a while to get this concept hahaha. at first it was going to be a mermaid holding an oyster with a shiny/glowy pearl [spirit] but i practiced sketching on paper and my sideviews are still ugly so i gave that up :C

this was definitely good lighting/light-source-ing practice
